Real presence

Each meal delivered represents a concrete response to an urgent need, but also a gesture of human recognition.

Hunger is not only the absence of food. It affects daily life, health, self-esteem and a person’s ability to reorganize their own life.

For this reason, ONG É Por Amor combines immediate response and continuous presence. Delivering ready-to-eat meals reduces the urgency of hunger, but also creates bonds, listening and human recognition.

In Manguinhos, the Community Kitchen strengthens territorial support. On the streets of downtown Rio, weekly actions maintain an active presence with people who are often made invisible.

2025

A year of continuous social operation, territorial strengthening and data consolidation to expand institutional transparency.

01 Immediate response

A ready-to-eat meal reduces food urgency at the moment when hunger cannot wait.

02 Continuous presence

The regularity of the action creates bonds, trust and greater capacity for listening in the territory.

03 Basis for governance

Data organization transforms social operations into verifiable information to grow responsibly.

Pathway to impact

From food urgency to building trust.

ONG É Por Amor’s work starts from a simple and concrete premise: when immediate hunger is reduced through continuous presence, care and organization, space is created for connection, listening and new possibilities for social support.

Food is the entry point, but it is not the final point. In Manguinhos, meal delivery strengthens territorial presence with the families served. In actions with people experiencing homelessness, the meal also creates a humanized point of contact with people who are often made invisible.

Problem

Hunger, vulnerability and social invisibility

Families in Manguinhos and people experiencing homelessness face food insecurity, lack of access to support networks and low institutional visibility.

Response

Food, logistics and territorial presence

The NGO organizes meal preparation, receipt, distribution and coordination to respond to the urgency of hunger in a continuous and responsible way.

Expected change

Dignity, bonds and capacity for care

Reducing immediate hunger creates conditions for listening, trust, follow-up and strengthening relationships with the people served.

Condition for growth

Data, governance and responsible partnerships

The consolidation of indicators enables accountability, improves decisions and attracts partners capable of sustaining scale and continuity.

In summary: ONG É Por Amor transforms received resources into food, food into presence, presence into bonds, and bonds into a stronger foundation for care, transparency and continuous social impact — in Manguinhos and in actions with people experiencing homelessness.
