Volunteering is local. Support can be global.
ONG É Por Amor welcomes people who want to contribute with responsibility, humanity and commitment. At this time, in-person volunteering is limited to people living in Rio de Janeiro or nearby areas.
Why local presence matters
Volunteering is not improvisation. It is commitment.
The desire to help is valuable. But for it to generate real impact, it needs organization, responsibility and a role that is compatible with the real needs of the organization.
The social actions carried out by ONG É Por Amor require physical presence, local coordination, prior guidance, movement across the city and availability compatible with field activities.
For this reason, our in-person volunteer opportunities are currently directed to people who live in the city of Rio de Janeiro or in nearby municipalities.
How volunteering works
A careful and locally coordinated process.
Participation in volunteer activities depends on real demand, safety, logistics, profile, availability and prior alignment with the coordination team of ONG É Por Amor.
Local availability
In-person activities require people who can travel to actions in Rio de Janeiro and participate according to the schedule defined by the NGO.
Profile and compatibility
Each opportunity must be compatible with the person’s availability, the needs of the action and the care required in vulnerable contexts.
Prior alignment
Volunteer participation only happens after guidance from the coordination team and clear understanding of the activity.
Responsible participation
Every volunteer activity must preserve the dignity, privacy and safety of the people served.
Where volunteers may help
In-person support is connected to real local needs.
ONG É Por Amor organizes volunteer participation according to the needs of each action, always with guidance, responsibility and care.
Solidarity Kitchen and community actions
Support in activities related to food, organization, distribution, events and care for families in vulnerable situations.
Actions with people experiencing homelessness
Support in the distribution of meals, clothing, hygiene kits and activities carried out with dignity, respect and listening.
Communication, fundraising and organization
Support with social media, photography, video, design, campaigns, donor relations, documents and internal organization.
Specialized professional support
Contributions in areas such as social work, psychology, health, law, accounting, education, technology and projects, when compatible with the NGO’s needs.
Current criteria
In-person volunteering is currently limited to Rio de Janeiro and nearby areas.
At this time, in-person volunteering opportunities with ONG É Por Amor are limited to people living in the city of Rio de Janeiro or nearby municipalities.
This limitation exists because our activities require physical presence, local transportation, prior alignment with the team and availability compatible with field actions.
The volunteer registration form is currently available only in Portuguese, because volunteer activities are organized locally by the NGO team and require communication with the local coordination.
How you can still support us
You do not need to be in Rio to stand with this mission.
