Code of Ethics and Conduct

ONG É Por Amor acts with commitment, respect and transparency in the fight against hunger and poverty, promoting dignity for people in situations of social vulnerability. This Code guides the conduct of everyone who represents, supports or relates to the organization.

Our commitment

Acting ethically means protecting lives, respecting stories and ensuring that every act of solidarity is carried out with responsibility, truth and social commitment.

The Code of Ethics and Conduct of ONG É Por Amor establishes principles and guidelines for everyone who acts on behalf of the organization or relates to its activities, including leaders, volunteers, donors, partners, suppliers, supporters and other representatives.

Its purpose is to ensure that the organization’s work is conducted with humanity, responsibility, transparency and respect, preserving public trust and the dignity of the people served.

ONG É Por Amor recognizes that social work requires care not only in the delivery of food, donations and emergency support, but also in the way each person is treated, how resources are used and how the organization reports back to society.

Ethics and humanity
Act with ethics, humanity, responsibility and respect in every relationship with beneficiaries, volunteers, donors, partners, suppliers and society.
Respect for human dignity
Every person served must be treated with welcome, listening, empathy and without any form of discrimination, exposure or judgment.
Transparency
ONG É Por Amor is committed to accountability, responsible use of the resources received and clear communication with donors and partners.
Protection of the people served
Images, stories and personal information must be used responsibly, preserving the privacy, safety and dignity of the people served.
Proper use of donations
Financial donations, food, clothing, products and other resources must be used exclusively for the benefit of the organization’s social actions.
Conflicts of interest
Institutional decisions must prioritize the mission of ONG É Por Amor, avoiding personal favoritism, private interests or any practice incompatible with ethics.

The ethics of ONG É Por Amor are reflected in the way we care, raise resources, distribute support and report back.

Every action must protect the institutional mission, respect the people served and strengthen the trust of those who support the organization.

Honesty in resource management, ensuring that donations, goods and funds are applied responsibly and consistently with the organization’s social purpose.

Absolute respect for the people served, recognizing their dignity, their story and their right to receive support free from embarrassment or judgment.

Opposition to every form of discrimination, whether based on origin, race, color, gender, age, religion, social condition, disability, sexual orientation or any other personal characteristic.

Responsibility in public communication, avoiding exaggeration, emotional exploitation of vulnerability or the disclosure of information that cannot be verified.

Commitment to institutional transparency, through accountability, organized documentation and clear communication with society.

Care for children, adolescents and vulnerable people, ensuring protection, respect, privacy and heightened attention in any action, record or communication.

Everyone who acts on behalf of ONG É Por Amor is expected to maintain a respectful, collaborative and responsible posture aligned with the institutional mission.

This posture includes treating beneficiaries with welcome, caring for the resources received, respecting internal guidance, preserving the institutional image, reporting risk situations or irregularities and always acting in a manner compatible with the organization’s values.

Abusive or violent attitudes

Abusive, aggressive, intimidating, humiliating or violent attitudes, or any behavior that compromises the physical, emotional or moral safety of any person, are not tolerated.

Discrimination

Any form of discrimination, judgment, exclusion or unequal treatment against beneficiaries, volunteers, staff, partners or third parties is prohibited.

Dishonesty

ONG É Por Amor does not accept dishonest conduct, intentional omission of information, data manipulation or any practice that compromises institutional trust.

Improper exposure of beneficiaries

It is not permitted to expose people served in a way that is embarrassing, exploitative or incompatible with their dignity, privacy and safety.

Improper use of resources

Financial resources, food, clothing, products, equipment and other donations may not be used for private purposes or outside the organization’s social objectives.

Misuse of the NGO’s name

The name, image, channels and reputation of ONG É Por Amor must not be used for personal benefit, improper promotion or unauthorized initiatives.

Ethical criterion

Whenever there is doubt about a conduct, the decision must consider the organization’s mission, the dignity of the people served, transparency, legality and the preservation of public trust.

For ONG É Por Amor, acting ethically means protecting lives, respecting stories and ensuring that every act of solidarity is carried out with responsibility, truth and social commitment.

The organization understands that the trust of beneficiaries, volunteers, donors, corporate partners and society depends on the consistency between what is publicly communicated and what is practiced in social actions, resource management and institutional relationships.

This Code should be understood as a living guideline, to be observed in all activities of ONG É Por Amor, especially in actions to fight hunger and poverty, in relationships with people in situations of vulnerability and in the management of donations received.
