A food support initiative built through the partnership between ONG É Por Amor and Ação da Cidadania, connecting ready-to-eat meals, fresh produce and basic food supplies to people and families in vulnerable situations.

A practical response to a daily urgency.
The Hunger Cannot Wait project is based on the understanding that food insecurity cannot be put on hold. For families in extreme social vulnerability and for people experiencing homelessness, a meal can mean immediate care, presence and dignity.
Through the partnership with Ação da Cidadania, ONG É Por Amor received, in 2025, ready-to-eat meals prepared by the partner institution’s Community Kitchen, as well as fresh produce — fruits, vegetables and greens — through the food bank, and in natura food items such as rice, beans, eggs, cornmeal and flour through the Networks and Campaigns department.
These foods were integrated into ONG É Por Amor’s actions, strengthening meal distribution, emergency food support and territorial presence alongside people and families in vulnerable situations.
How this partnership works in practice
The partnership is not limited to receiving food. It requires coordination, pickup, organization, responsible distribution and transparency regarding the impact generated.
Ready-to-eat meals
Meals prepared by Ação da Cidadania’s Community Kitchen were directed to ONG É Por Amor to complement actions against hunger.
Fresh produce through the food bank
Fruits, vegetables and greens helped reinforce the nutritional quality of the actions, expanding access to fresh food.
In natura food supplies
Foods such as rice, beans, eggs, cornmeal and flour arrived through Networks and Campaigns, supporting the NGO’s food operation.
Responsible distribution
ONG É Por Amor organizes logistics, directs food to social actions and keeps the focus on dignity, safety and continuity.
Serious partnerships make the fight against hunger more efficient, more organized and more continuous.
Hunger requires an immediate response, but it also requires method. When an organization such as Ação da Cidadania strengthens a territory-based organization such as ONG É Por Amor, food follows a more efficient path: it leaves a structured network and reaches people who experience the urgency of food insecurity in everyday life.
Receiving food also requires responsibility.
Every food donation requires care, logistics, organization and distribution criteria. ONG É Por Amor understands that institutional partnerships must generate impact, but also trust.
